Summary:
An Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing an organization's inventory of products and materials.
This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock levels, and coordinating with operations and logistics department.
Key
Responsibilities:
The Inventory Specialist has the following main functions that are listed in a referential way but are no limitation to any other reasonable task as required by the company.
1.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock quantities, locations, and movements.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Implement and follow inventory control procedures to prevent overstocking or understocking.
2.
Inventory Tracking:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for order fulfillment.
Track inventory in their location and make sure product in location is correct 3.
Receiving and Shipping:
0versee the receiving of incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against the PL Ensure that the proper item and quantities are shipped.
Complete in and out sheet inventory sheet.
Complete receive confirmations and sent it to logistics team.
4.
Physical Inventory Management:
Complete monthly physical inventory using inventory sheet.
Complete weekly warehouse release Log 5.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify slow-moving or excess stock.
Provide regular reports to management, including inventory turnover and performance metrics.
6.
Process Improvement:
Assist the warehouse supervisor in process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Recommend and execute initiatives to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
7.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements regarding inventory management.
8.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with various departments, such as logistics, Operations, and warehouse supervisor, to coordinate inventor related activities.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in supply chain management, or business administration Proven experience in inventory management or a related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of inventory control best practices.
Familiarity with supply chain and logistics principles.
Reporting to The Inventory Specialist reports to the Senior Domestic Operations Manager.
Location Onsite:
1235 Commerce Drive, Morrow, GA 30260 Travel No travel required.
