Clayton State Systems Engineer Senior

Job DescriptionUnder limited supervision, design, configure, upgrade, and support existing enterprise systems and infrastructure services to ensure operational reliability.
Design, configure, upgrade, and support existing enterprise systems and infrastructure services to ensure operational reliability.
Configure and administer the universitys email service in conjunction with its third-party cloud service provider.
Proactively monitor system and network performance.
Promptly investigate and resolve problems upon identification to ensure service reliability.
Open and manage third-party vendor incidents as required.
When service issues arise, drive the associated root cause analysis, debugging, support, and post-mortem analysis for said service interruptions.
Collaborate with application and project teams to understand needs and equip them with required infrastructure services to enable successful outcomes.
Strong commitment to knowledge management and configuration documentation as it relates to infrastructure services.
Proactively research articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being promoted by vendors and fellow higher education institutions.
Ensure alignment and compliance with requirements encumbered within the University System of Georgia Information Technology Handbook.
Mentor fellow division-wide team members and stakeholders (as necessary) on associated technology solutions and services.

Exchange 2019 on Premise / Microsoft 365, Exchange Online Active Directory / Azure ADFS Required Skills:
PowerShell Scripting Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience communicating proactively with customers, team members, and vendors.
? Innate customer-centric mindset with a focus on improving service delivery experiences.
This position will be 3 months with a possibility of going full-time.
